Anna tiene solo 28 años. Es una joven madre de dos niños pequeños, una mujer llena de bondad y una persona que siempre ha dedicado su tiempo a cuidar de los demás. Quienes la conocen la describen como alguien alegre, generosa y siempre dispuesta a tender una mano cuando alguien lo necesitaba.

Pero su vida cambió por completo cuando, tras el nacimiento prematuro de su segundo hijo, los médicos descubrieron que sufría una insuficiencia renal crónica grave que afectaba a ambos riñones. Lo que comenzó con complicaciones durante el embarazo acabó convirtiéndose en una lucha diaria por sobrevivir.

Hoy, Anna depende de tratamientos constantes, hospitalizaciones frecuentes y sesiones de diálisis mientras espera la oportunidad que puede salvarle la vida: un trasplante de riñón.

Conozco a Anna desde que era una niña. Su madre, Elizabeth, trabajó con nosotros durante muchos años y su familia vivía muy cerca de nuestra casa en Nairobi. A lo largo del tiempo compartimos muchos momentos importantes de sus vidas: celebraciones familiares, graduaciones, cumpleaños e incluso su boda. Fuimos testigos de cómo Anna crecía, estudiaba y se convertía en una mujer trabajadora, cariñosa y comprometida con los demás. Siempre la recordaremos como una persona alegre, respetuosa y llena de vida. Por eso, ver cómo una enfermedad tan devastadora ha cambiado su vida de forma tan repentina nos ha afectado profundamente.

Su familia ha hecho todo lo posible para acompañarla y apoyarla durante este duro camino, pero después de meses de gastos médicos y cuidados continuos, sus recursos se han agotado. Por eso acudimos a vosotros. Porque Anna necesita ayuda urgente para poder seguir luchando y tener la oportunidad de volver a abrazar a sus hijos con la fuerza y la salud que merece.

Anna creció en una familia humilde y trabajadora que siempre apostó por la educación y los valores. Estudió, comenzó a trabajar en el sector de la belleza y la cosmetología y construyó una vida llena de sueños e ilusión. También participaba activamente en el coro de su iglesia y dedicaba gran parte de su tiempo a apoyar a otras personas.

En 2022 se casó y poco después llegaron sus dos hijos. Sin embargo, durante sus embarazos comenzaron a aparecer graves problemas de salud que fueron empeorando progresivamente. Tras el nacimiento prematuro de su segundo bebé en junio de 2025, los médicos confirmaron la devastadora noticia: ambos riñones habían dejado de funcionar correctamente.

Desde entonces, Anna ha pasado innumerables días en hospitales, enfrentándose a la diálisis, transfusiones de sangre, infecciones, agotamiento extremo y un dolor constante. Pero lo más difícil para ella no ha sido la enfermedad, sino no poder cuidar de sus hijos como siempre soñó. Su mayor deseo es poder verlos crecer, acompañarlos en su infancia y seguir siendo la madre que necesitan.

Los fondos recaudados se destinarán íntegramente a cubrir los gastos médicos necesarios para que Anna pueda acceder al tratamiento que necesita para sobrevivir.

La ayuda permitirá financiar el transplante, diálisis, pruebas médicas, costes hospitalarios, medicación necesaria, desplazamientos…

Anna is only 28 years old. She is a young mother of two small children, a kind-hearted woman, and someone who has always dedicated her time to caring for others. Those who know her describe her as cheerful, generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed it.

But her life changed completely when, after the premature birth of her second child, doctors discovered that she was suffering from severe chronic kidney disease affecting both kidneys. What began as complications during pregnancy turned into a daily fight for survival.

Today, Anna depends on ongoing treatments, frequent hospitalizations, and dialysis sessions while she waits for the opportunity that could save her life: a kidney transplant.

We have known Anna since she was a child. Her mother, Elizabeth, worked with us for many years, and their family lived very close to our home in Nairobi. Over the years, we shared many important moments in their lives: family celebrations, graduations, birthdays, and even her wedding. We watched Anna grow up, pursue her education, and become a hardworking, caring woman devoted to helping others. We will always remember her as a joyful, respectful, and vibrant person. That is why seeing such a devastating illness change her life so suddenly has affected us deeply.

Her family has done everything possible to support her through this difficult journey, but after months of medical expenses and ongoing care, their resources have been exhausted. That is why we are reaching out to you. Anna urgently needs help to continue fighting and to have the chance to hold her children again with the strength and health she deserves.

2. Who Are We Helping?

We want to help Anna, a 28-year-old mother from Nairobi, Kenya, who is battling end-stage kidney disease.

She completed her studies, began working in the beauty and cosmetology industry, and built a life full of dreams and hope. She was also an active member of her church choir and dedicated much of her time to supporting others.

After the premature birth of her second baby in June 2025, doctors delivered the devastating news: both of her kidneys had stopped functioning properly.

But the hardest part for her has not been the illness itself—it has been being unable to care for her children the way she always dreamed she would.
